Hack the Grid is a STEM-first approach to improving our cities. At Hack the Grid, you'll come up with ideas (whether it's through code or otherwise) to improve your city.
Hack the Grid is taking a unique approach to awarding prizes. Prizes are not defined by place, but rather by category. A 3rd place winner is able to get a 1st place quality prize, and vice versa.
A hackathon isn't stereotypical hacking- at a hackthon, you simply create computer programs.
You don't need to know coding at all! Hack the Grid is also hosting an ideathon. If you can come up with an idea, you can participate! You can also participate in our workshops which will teach basic coding.
Anything you think you'll need. If you're participating in the ideathon, we recommend you come with some paper and something to write with to jot your thoughts down. If you're participating in the hackathon, we recommend you bring anything you can code on like an iPad or a laptop.
Anyone the age of 10-18 can participate.
Signups will close December 2nd.
